Happy Birthday!

Today is my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday dear Kathy,
Happy Birthday to me!!!

For my birthday I am heading here this afternoon....

The cupcakes are to die for!!! It just opened up a month ago in Bel Air, Maryland.
So if you're in town, be sure to stop by!

Check out their far my two personal favorites are the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing and the key lime cupcake......or is it the double chocolate cupcake and the luscious lemon???

Hmmmmmm, I might need to do a taste test!

For my birthday, I asked my hubby if I could go see this......

It's a special exhibit of over 600 red and white quilts from a private collection......imagine that, owning over 600 quilts in two colors! How do you even store them????

The exhibit is for 6 days only and is sponsored by the American Folk Art Museum in NYC.
Here's the copy.....

For six days in March, the American Folk Art Museum will dramatically transform the Park Avenue Armory’s historic 55,000-square-foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall with the installation of 650 red and white American quilts, all of which are on loan from the collection of Joanna S. Rose. It will be the largest exhibition of quilts ever held in the city. As an extraordinary gift to the public, entry to this unprecedented event is free. A cafĂ© and a book and gift shop will be open during show hours.

Cool huh!!!! And even better, I am going to stay overnight and catch some shopping and sites in the city!

What great birthday present!!! Thanks hubby Ed, you're the best!!!!

Have a great day!!!!

Kathy, nice to meet you. Lisa invited me to the retreat in March! I am so excited. She gave me the link to last year's post so I can see all about the retreat and I found your blog. I wanted to say and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can't wait to meet everyone.

Bet the quilts were amazing - that is a lot of red and white though.
